As of 7 September 2022, the Supervisory Board of H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych Sp. z o.o. appointed Dr Maciej Andrzejewski Member of the Management Board for Development.
Maciej Andrzejewski, D.Eng. has a doctorate in Technical Sciences in the discipline of Transport and is a specialist in the field of ecology in transport. He is a graduate of the Poznań University of Technology. He also completed postgraduate studies in “Research and Development Project Manager” and has over 10 years of experience in the implementation of R&D&I projects (implementations, including award-winning). Participant in the work of the following Programmes: GOSPOSTRATEG, LIDER, INNOTABOR, INITECH, INNOTECH (In-Tech and Hi-Tech paths). He is active in important sectors of the economy, such as research and development, automotive, rail, agri-food, and manufacturing.
Until recently, he was Director of Sectoral Projects at the Institute for Strategic Analysis of the ALTUM Foundation. From 2018 to 2021, he served as director of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Railway Vehicles “TABOR” in Poznań. He is experienced in managing scientific and research staff and in working for the economy (cooperation with more than 250 companies). Initiator of cooperation, including international cooperation, with scientific units, research institutes, enterprises in the railway and automotive industries and business environment institutions. He is additionally connected to the scientific community through academic corporations. He has acted as an auxiliary supervisor in several doctoral dissertations. He actively supports young scientists and researchers, e.g. as a member of scientific committees of conferences for young scientists. In addition, he has contributed creatively by collaborating with the editors of 5 scientific and professional journals. His activities have also resulted in scientific and popular science publications (about 130 in total), scientific papers delivered (about 110) and participation in conferences and seminars (more than 140).
He is an active expert of the National Centre for Research and Development, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, the Foundation for Polish Science, the Podkarpackie Business Support Platform and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy (STEP, Innovation Coach). He also has experience in developing business plans under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
Member of the Transport Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Union of Wielkopolska Residents, SAE International, the Association of Rail Transport Experts and Managers, the Association of Engineers and Technicians of Transportation, the Polish Scientific Society of Diesel Engines, the Polish Society of Ecological Vehicles, the Transport Energy Commission of the Poznań Metropolis, the Chapter of the Professor Włodzimierz Stawecki Award for outstanding achievements in the field of rail transport, the National Team for qualification TKO.09 _2 Performing maintenance and repair works on rail vehicles, Expert of the Technical Commission of the Chamber of Railways on driver’s cabs, PCA Expert on interoperability of the railway system in the EU, Expert of the European Commission.
As a Member of the Management Board for Development, he will primarily want to consolidate his knowledge of R&D&I work with the enthusiasm and competence of the employee teams and the manufacturing facilities of H. Cegielski – FPS Company.
